New research brings new hope for patients with pelvic floor issues and perineal tears
- Lili-Ann Hultman had been experiencing pelvic floor issues since undergoing multiple childbirths.
- When she heard about a doctoral thesis on a surgical method to ensure the perineum is stitched together correctly and has the right dimensions, she reached out to Dr. Eva Fornell.
- “I had been struggling for several years, and then I heard about the method and the research behind it. It felt right, so I took time off, went there, and haven’t had any issues since then. It’s strange that healthcare professionals aren’t keeping up with new research,” she said.
